That’s Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, also jawing about the Violence Against Women Act reauthorization. Those “matters” that the GOP are so twitchy about? Expanding IPV programs for Native Americans and those in same-sex relationships and expanding the possibility that immigrants whose marriages are their qualifier for remaining in the U.S. can retain legal residency status even if they leave those marriages because of IPV. Shocking stuff, really. How dare the Democrats look out for people being stalked, threatened, controlled, isolated, beaten and raped?
